Lindsey has a wealth of experience in advising and supporting on all aspects of English and Literacy across all key stages and ability ranges.
Lindsey taught in and led English successful departments in secondary schools, ranging from a challenging urban comprehensive to a high performing Grammar school, for 15 years.
She has spent 10 years supporting primary and secondary schools as the English Consultant/ Adviser for Buckinghamshire. In this time she has brought SLAMbassadors UK to the County, and won a BERA national research award for her work using eLearning to develop KS4 students' reading and writing of poetry. |
In 2014/5, Lindsey devised and delivered the Bucks WRITE Project. Throughout the year, the project worked with teachers from 17 primary schools to develop subject knowledge and implement research based approaches to improve children's progress in writing. This was a great success with KS2 pupils involved making, on average, 40% more than expected progress in writing across the year. Lindsey has worked for many years as a senior examiner and moderator for GCSE. She designed and led the Spoken Language component for OCR and now works on Cambridge IGCSE First Language English and World Literature.
Lindsey's current projects include working with PCGE tutors and mentors to develop cross curricular literacy and support the implementation of the Literacy and Numeracy Framework for Wales.
When she's not working or reading, Lindsey loves to travel and explore and recently learned to scuba dive.
